Urban Savages

Using a fusion of contemporary dance, Brazilian martial arts and parkour Beingfrank’s new performance piece explores the aftermath of an apocalypse, the lives of a small group of survivors and their decent into savagery in an altered urban landscape.

Inspired by the book ‘The Lord of the Flies’ the project will use powerful gymnastic movements and dramatic structures to inspire our target group of boys aged 12-15.

Whilst exploring and developing the key skills of literacy, team-work, and personal expression, the participants will reflect on upon what it is to be civilised and the conflicting impulse towards ultimate power.
